Work experience counts at a rate of 200 credit hours per year of real-life work experience. If you do not meet these transfer requirements, you must take Idaho’s barbering exam and you may be required to take additional training hours to meet Idaho’s minimum. In order to transfer your barber license to Idaho and be eligible for licensure by endorsement, you must show that you have had an active license in your home state for 3 of the last 5 years, meet Idaho training requirements, show that you’ve taken a practical and written exam, qualify for endorsement, be at least 16 1/2 years old and a 10th grade education.
